Detailed Description

Sanliurfa is a province with a population of about 2 million, located in the South East of Turkey.

The project aims to reduce pollution in Karakoyun and Sirrin streams by establishing a wastewater management system for the Municipality of Sanliurfa. Both streams are also important irrigation sources. This project is aimed to meet the quality standards of Turkey in the wastewater sector. The project will also provide capacity to the municipality to use its wastewater management more effectively and efficiently.

The project includes the renewal of Karaköprü collector and construction of a new wastewater collector parallel to the existing main collector. In addition, a wastewater treatment system that will serve EU standards is planned to be designed and constructed to approximately 721,000 people.

MENA has undertaken the Static and Architectural Design of the Treatment Plant.
